Airtel ने सफलता पूर्वक टेस्ट किया 5G नेटवर्क।
जिओ के के घोषणा और यह दिखाते हुए की यह एक पूर्ण रूप से स्वदेशी नेटवर्क होगा जिसका पूरा हार्डवेयर भी भारत में बनाया जायेगा इन सभी खबरों के बाद एयरटेल ने यह घोषणा की है की वे न कि केवल के क्षेत्र में काम कर रही है बल्कि एयरटेल ने नेटवर्क का एक सफल लाइव टेस्ट भी किया।एयरटेल का दावा है कि यह हैदराबाद में कमर्शियल नेटवर्क पर “LIVE 5G सेवा” प्रदर्शित करने करने वाला भारत का पहला दूरसंचार कम्पनी है।
अब आप सोच रहे होंगे कि जब 5 जी स्पेक्ट्रम की नीलामी होनी बाकी है तो यह कैसे संभव है? एयरटेल ने किस आवृत्ति बैंड का उपयोग किया? एक आधिकारिक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में, एयरटेल ने खुलासा किया है कि उसने 1800 मेगाहर्ट्ज बैंड में एक स्पेक्ट्रम ब्लॉक का इस्तेमाल किया। इसने NSA (नॉन-स्टैंडअलोन) तकनीक का इस्तेमाल हैदराबाद में “समान स्पेक्ट्रम ब्लॉक के भीतर समवर्ती 5G और 4G [नेटवर्क] को संचालित करने के लिए” किया। एयरटेल ने इस मुकाम को प्राप्त करने के लिए “अपनी तरह का, गतिशील स्पेक्ट्रम साझाकरण” प्रणाली का उपयोग किया।
गोपाल विट्टल, भारती एयरटेल के एमडी और सीईओ ने कहा, “एयरटेल इस क्षमता को प्रदर्शित करने वाला पहला ऑपरेटर होने के साथ, हमने फिर से दिखाया है कि हम भारत में हर जगह भारतीयों को सशक्त बनाने की नई तकनीकों में अग्रणी हैं।” यह एक प्रेस रिलीज़ में कहा गया।

टेलीकॉम दिग्गज ने अपने 5G नेटवर्क पर हासिल की गई गति का खुलासा नहीं किया। लेकिन, यह इस बात की दर्शाता है , कि 5 जी तकनीक वर्तमान 4 जी प्रौद्योगिकियों की तुलना में “10 गुना गति, विलंबता, और 100 गुना संगामिति” देने में सक्षम है। एयरटेल आगे कहता है कि यह 5G सेवाओं को रोल आउट करने के लिए तैयार है और अब 5 जी स्पेक्ट्रम के उपयोग की अनुमति देने के लिए दूरसंचार विभाग (DOT) का इंतजार कर रहा है।
एयरटेल ऐसा उल्लेख करता है की नेटवर्क का पूर्ण प्रभाव ग्राहकों के तब उपलब्ध होगा जब पर्याप्त स्पेक्ट्रम उपलब्ध होता है और सरकारी अनुमति प्राप्त होती है । इसके अलावा, रिलायंस जियो भी 2021 की दूसरी छमाही में भारत भर में 5 जी सेवाओं को रोल अप करने के लिए तैयार है। इसने अमेरिका में क्वालकॉम की साझेदारी में अपने 5 जी नेटवर्क का परीक्षण किया है।
